Poochr Terms of Service

Welcome to Poochr. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Poochr mobile applications and related websites and services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Poochr. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

Accounts

• •You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account.
• •Provide accurate profile information. Only create profiles for dogs you own or care for.
• •One person should not create accounts to evade bans, harass others, or manipulate discovery.
• •You may delete your account in the app. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription—you must manage or cancel billing through Apple or Google.

The Service

Poochr helps dog owners discover nearby dogs, send Tail Wags, match, message, share feed posts, and join groups for playdates and community. Poochr is a social networking service for pets and their humans—not a dating service, veterinary service, or emergency service.

We do not guarantee matches, playdate outcomes, dog behavior, vaccination accuracy, or the identity or conduct of other members.

User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Poochr a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting/technical needs), display, and distribute your content as needed to operate and promote the Service, including public share pages when you post to the feed.

You represent that you have the rights to the content you upload and that it does not violate law or these Terms.

We may remove or restrict content or accounts that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• •Harass, threaten, stalk, or solicit other members.
• •Post illegal, hateful, pornographic, or exploitative content; or content that promotes animal cruelty.
• •Create, share, request, or link to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualize minors, groom or solicit minors, or take part in any form of child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAE). We remove such content, permanently ban the accounts involved, and report them to NCMEC and law enforcement (see our Child Safety Standards).
• •Spam, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service.
• •Misrepresent vaccination status, ownership, or identity in a misleading way.
• •Use the Service for commercial solicitation without our prior written permission.
• •Share another person’s private information without permission.

Playdates and Safety

Any in-person meetup is solely between members. You are responsible for supervising your dog, assessing temperament and health, confirming vaccination status with your veterinarian as needed, choosing safe locations, and following local laws.

Vaccination and other health-related profile fields are self-reported and not verified by Poochr. Meet in public places when possible, tell someone where you are going, and leave if you feel unsafe. Report concerning behavior with the in-app Report tools or Block features.

Subscriptions and Purchases

Optional Standard and Premium memberships are billed as auto-renewable subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play via RevenueCat. Prices and periods are shown in the paywall and store listing before purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your Apple or Google account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Restoring purchases and managing subscriptions are available in the app.

New accounts may receive a limited Standard trial as described in the app; trial length may change. After a trial or paid subscription ends, features may revert to the Free plan.

Intellectual Property

The Poochr name, branding, and app design are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or use them except as needed to use the Service.

Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third parties (maps, sign-in providers, cloud storage, push, payments). Their terms and privacy policies also apply when you use those features.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POOCHR AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY PLAYDATE OR INTERACTION WITH OTHER MEMBERS.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US$50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Poochr and its operators from claims arising out of your content, your playdates or dog’s conduct, or your violation of these Terms or law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or our Community Guidelines. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence require otherwise. Courts in California will have jurisdiction over disputes, subject to those protections.

Changes

We may update these Terms. We will update the “Last Updated” date and may notify you in the app or by email for material changes. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
